52nd Annual Art Show

September 26-October 29 2017

Scope

The Fremont Art Association is holding its 52nd Annual Art Show. Members and the general public are invited to submit two and three-dimensional art for this juried Art Show. The Show will be held at the Fremont Art Association Gallery at 37697 Niles Blvd, Fremont, CA 94536.

 

Eligibility

The general public is welcome to submit entries. Works for the show will be selected through a juried process. 

 

Juror for the 2017 Show

This year the juror is Julie Jenkins, the owner of JCO’S Art Haus in Los Gatos. 


Jenkins worked as an East Coast art dealer for over 14 years, directing the Judi Rotenberg Gallery and founding "Got Art? The Affordable Art Fair".

 

Upon moving to California with her family, Jenkins opened JCO'S Place • Fine Art • Los Gatos.  After three successful years in a small, light-filled space in downtown Los Gatos, Jenkins expanded her business to a larger location-- JCO'S Art Haus. Jenkins presents art in a casual, comfortable, inviting space that represents 30 to 40 contemporary artists. As an extension of "Got Art?", JCO'S Art Haus hosts biannual Affordable Art Fairs and partners with local businesses to create unique Opening Receptions and unexpected art experiences. 

 

Entry Procedure

  • Entry is solely done online. Click on the button at the right to enter the show.

  • Download the full prospectus on the right for entry guidlines. 

  • Entry fees are: members $20 for first entry              $15 for each additional

                                  nonmembers $25 for first entry        $20 for each additional

You may pay online with PayPal or select “Pay by Check” to mail in your entry fee. Make checks out to Fremont Art Association and mail to Fremont Art Association, 37697 Niles Blvd, Fremont, CA 94536.

  • Number of entries per artist is unlimited. However, a maximum of three (3) pieces may be chosen for the show.

Awards

  • 3 Awards of Excellence ($370 cash prize each)

  • Members Choice Award ($200 cash prize)

  • President’s Choice Award ($200 cash prize)

  • Up to three Special Recognitions will selected
